Dec 14th, 2023 ASUS GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Dual with M.2 Slot Review - Gen 5 Supported. Here you can fine-tune the sensitivity to your likeing. The DPI of the mouse can be set to other settings besides the 1600, 800, and 400 that the sensitivity button can change. Other settings allow you to define what kind of games will load the mouse settings. it is mainly for setting the DPI/Sensitivity of the mouse. When you click "Advanced Game Settings." you get this screen. ![]() These settings can be anything from sensitivity, to even selecting between different mice if you use more than one. This screen is for game detection to load settings for games. The last screen in SetPoint is the Mouse Game Settings. From visual effects to the pointer's behavior. The next screen is for pointer speed, pointer acceleration, smart move, and the visual effect of pointer trail. This may be good for some people who prefer to do more with the mouse in games, than on the keyboard. The two buttons either side of the scroll wheel can be set as other buttons besides sensitivity. Here you can set the buttons to do things such as keystrokes, scrolling, and more. The first screen is the button set screen. The software also controls general mouse settings, and settings specific to the MX518. Another one of the MX518’s functions is the application switch button.SoftwareThe MX518 includes a software called "SetPoint" to bind the buttons on the mouse for Windows use. This function is done all by the mouse itself, no drivers are required to increase or decrease the sensitivity on the fly. These are great when playing games where one moment you need pinpoint accuracy then the next you need a bit faster pointer speed (eg, using a sniper then drop it for an assault rifle) – this can all be done in game and on the fly. The feature I found most useful is the two sensitivity buttons located in front and behind the scroll wheel. The MX518 features 8 buttons, 6 of which can be assigned to different functions using the Logitech SetPoint software that comes with the mouse that I’ll talk about later. The MX518 also slides very nicely on almost any generic mouse pad – I’ve been using a ruddy old Nortel pad and the mouse feels very smooth. (I’m sorry if those figures are incorrect, to weigh the mice I used a baking scale that is at least 40 years old since nothing better was available). It weighs about 110 grams, compared to a standard Microsoft optical mouse which weighs about 80 grams. It has a fairly good weight, not too light and not too heavy. The shape and the overall feel of the mouse is very good, it fits snugly in the hand and with the left side of the mouse curved inward it makes it even more comfortable to hold. This is not the result of losing too many sessions of CS:S but it’s actually just a very clever graphic design which is usually bound to impress at LAN parties. Features and Design The most distinct feature of the MX518 is the ‘dents’ all over the top of the mouse. Other than that though, it has performed extremely well over time but I will go into more detail about its performance after I talk about its specifications. ![]() Logitech Mx518 Optical Gaming Mouse Driver For Mac
